Did you know?
An estimated 24 million individuals in the U.S. have diabetes, but it
is estimated that as many as a fourth of those individuals do not know
they have the disease. In Ohio alone it's estimated that nearly 1,000,000
individuals have the disease, yet only half know it. Undiagnosed diabetes
can lead to other chronic illnesses, such as those related to heart and
kidney and is the leading cause of blindness, kidney failure, and amputations.
